HLTAID011- Provide First Aid
This course applies to a wide range of settings where first aid emergencies may occur. It is relevant for people working in education, aged and community care, sport, outdoor recreation, travel & tourism, hospitality, industry enterprises as well as in home or other environments.

Our First Aid training delivery options are outlined below:
Full Day Theory/Practical –
3 hour classroom training and assessment (with online or workbook pre-work)
Provide First Aid Course – Students complete pre-course learning and attend a full day course (up to *7 hours) with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with limited experience or those who prefer to spend more time in the classroom refreshing their knowledge and practicing the skills involved in first aid, including practical and theory assessments.
Express Course – Face to Face Practical
Express: 45 minutes (Assessment Only, Must have done a first aid course in the past 3 years)
Provide First Aid HLTAID011 students complete pre-course learning and attend a shorter course of up to *1 hours with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with experience, having completed first aid training previously or for those working in the medical field. Students attending an express course will complete the practical assessments only as it is expected they have enough experience and the completion of the pre-course learning assisted with refreshing their knowledge to prepare for the assessment. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid One assessment will include the completion of an incident report form following a practical scenario. All theory assessments are completed prior to attending the assessment.
Pre-Course Learning:
The online pre-course learning consists of presentations, and multiple-choice questions aimed to prepare students for further training and or assessment. The pre-course learning can also be completed by a hard copy workbook, or in-class with the trainer if organized beforehand.
95% of students and instructors prefer the online method as it’s convenient and cost-efficient.
When you enroll in the first aid course, you will automatically be emailed your login for the online pre-course learning, and you can start it straight away.
The Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment can be issued on the same day and is renewable every 3 years with the CPR unit renewable annually.
Our Provide First Aid course satisfies 3 units of competency from the Health Training Package (HLT07):
- HLTAID009: Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID010: Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID011: Provide First Aid
