Full Day Theory / Practical
Duration: 3.5 hours classroom training and assessment (with online or workbook pre-work).Students complete pre-course learning and attend a full-day course (up to 7 hours) with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with limited experience or those who prefer to spend more time in the classroom refreshing their knowledge and practicing first aid skills, including both practical and theory assessments.
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012) is the industry standard, nationally recognized, AQF-approved First Aid course for citizens and working professionals.

Express Course – Face-to-Face Practical
Duration: 1 hour (Assessment Only – must have completed a first aid course in the past 3 years).Students complete pre-course learning and attend a shorter session (up to 2 hours) with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with experience or working in the medical/childcare field.
Students attending an express course complete practical assessments only, having already refreshed their knowledge through pre-course learning. One assessment includes completing an incident report form following a practical scenario. All theory assessments are completed prior to attending.

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012) – The online pre-course learning consists of presentations and multiple-choice questions aimed to prepare students for training and assessment.
The pre-course learning can also be completed using a hard copy workbook or in-class with the trainer if arranged beforehand.
95% of students and instructors prefer the online method as it’s convenient and cost-efficient.
When you enrol, you’ll automatically receive your login for the online pre-course learning, allowing you to start immediately.
The Statement of Attainment can be issued on the same day and is renewable every 3 years (with CPR renewable annually).
