HLTAID009 – Provide CPR
This course applies to a wide range of settings where first aid emergencies may occur. CPR Course HLTAID009 is relevant for people working in education, aged and community care, sport, outdoor recreation, travel & tourism, hospitality, industry enterprises as well as in home or other environments.
Full Day Theory / Practical
Duration: Up to 3 hours classroom training (includes online pre-course learning).
Students attend a full day course (up to 3 hours) with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with limited experience or those who prefer to spend more time in the classroom refreshing their knowledge and practicing the skills involved in CPR, including both practical and theory assessments.
Pre-course learning is required before attending the class. The full course includes both theory and practical assessments.
Express Course – Face-to-Face Practical
Duration: 30 minutes (Assessment Only – must have done CPR/First Aid course within the last 3 years).
Students complete pre-course learning and attend a shorter session (up to 1 hour) with their trainer. This course is ideal for experienced learners or those working in the medical field.
Students attending an express course complete practical assessments only, as they already have sufficient experience. One assessment includes completing an incident report form following a practical scenario.
All theory assessments are completed online prior to attendance.
The online pre-course learning consists of presentations and multiple-choice questions designed to prepare students for further training and assessment. This can also be completed via a workbook or in-class with the trainer if arranged beforehand.
