HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
This course applies to a wide range of settings where first aid emergencies may occur. It is relevant for people working in education, aged and community care, sport, outdoor recreation, travel & tourism, hospitality, industry enterprises as well as in home or other environments.

Full Day Theory / Practical
Duration: 3-hour classroom training and assessment (with online or workbook pre-work).
Students complete pre-course learning and attend a full-day course (up to 7 hours) with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with limited experience or those who prefer to spend more time in the classroom refreshing their knowledge and practicing first aid skills, including both practical and theory assessments.
Express Course – Face-to-Face Practical
Duration: 45 minutes (Assessment Only – must have completed a first aid course in the past 3 years).
Students complete pre-course learning and attend a shorter session (up to 1 hour) with their trainer. This course is ideal for experienced learners or those working in the medical field. Students attending an express course complete practical assessments only, as they already have prior experience. One assessment includes completing an incident report form following a practical scenario.
The online pre-course learning consists of presentations and multiple-choice questions designed to prepare students for further training and assessment. This can also be completed via a workbook or in-class with the trainer if arranged beforehand.

The Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment can be issued on the same day and is renewable every 3 years (CPR unit renewable annually).

- HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
